Nearly a century separates the two families that have shaped Domaine Les Crayères. The Marquise de Polignac conceived the property as a whole, allowing the château, the park and the art of hospitality to belong to the same vision and the Gardinier family is now continuing that work by restoring the perspectives of the grounds and finding new ways for guests to inhabit them. In early 2027, Guerlain will join the next chapter through a spa created beside the estate’s historic lake.
Designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon in a nineteenth-century architectural language, the spa will not stand apart from the existing property. The lake is being restored with its banks and reflective surface, while wide windows echoing the château’s rotundas will open the building towards the gardens. Landscape becomes part of the experience rather than a view added around it.

The transformation will extend beyond the spa. L’Orangerie will introduce four suites with private gardens, while La Folie will offer an independent villa overlooking the lake. Both Mansard-style buildings will add new ways of staying at Les Crayères.
The project is less concerned with expanding the Domaine than with completing an idea that has guided it from the beginning. The lake returns, forgotten perspectives reopen and new buildings find their place within the park. Les Crayères moves forward by making its original vision visible again.
