Two weeks before the restaurant world gathers in Lima, the first half of The 50 Best Restaurants 2026 has been revealed.
The 50 organisation has announced the restaurants ranked from No.51 to No.100 ahead of the main awards ceremony, which will take place at the Teatro Municipal de Lima on November 4. Fifty restaurants, 25 territories and 36 cities already offer the first indications of what this year’s global map may look like before the Top 50 is revealed.
At the edge of that Top 50 sits Uliassi in Senigallia at No.51, followed by La Cime in Osaka at No.52. The highest new entry is Ling Long in Shanghai at No.53, one of nine restaurants appearing in the extended ranking for the first time. Nelita in São Paulo follows immediately at No.54, while Alcalde in Guadalajara completes the first five positions of the 51–100 list.

Europe accounts for 20 of the 50 restaurants, Asia for 17, North America for six, South America for three, with Africa and the Middle East represented by two restaurants each. It is less a hierarchy at this stage than a first indication of where the votes have accumulated before the names occupying the first fifty positions are known.
Japan already makes a particularly strong appearance. Five restaurants feature in the extended list: La Cime in Osaka at No.52, followed in Tokyo by Sazenka at No.56, Narisawa at No.59, Florilège at No.61 and Den at No.91. China adds Ling Long and Fu He Hui in Shanghai as well as Lamdre in Beijing, while Singapore places Seroja, Burnt Ends and Labyrinth.
The new entries are perhaps the most interesting names to watch. Alongside Ling Long and Nelita, the 2026 list welcomes Seroja in Singapore, Eatanic Garden in Seoul, FZN in Dubai, Baan Tepa in Bangkok, Lamdre in Beijing and Khufu’s in Giza. Nine newcomers, in nine different cities, spread across several of the regions that have been reshaping international dining over the past few years.

Khufu’s arrival at No.97 carries particular continuity with The 50. The restaurant overlooking the pyramids of Giza received the Resy One To Watch Award in 2025 and now enters the extended global ranking. FZN at No.88 gives Dubai another presence, while the Middle East places two new restaurants inside the 51–100 list.
France places three restaurants. Arpège is No.67, Septime No.81, while Le Doyenné in Saint-Vrain reaches No.84. The French representation is therefore very different in character: Alain Passard’s Paris institution sits alongside Bertrand Grébaut’s Septime and the more rural proposition developed at Le Doyenné. Whether additional French restaurants appear inside the Top 50 will only become clear in Lima.

Belgium places The Jane at No.63, Willem Hiele at No.66 and Eliane at No.86. Germany’s three representatives are all in Berlin — Nobelhart & Schmutzig at No.76, Coda at No.82 and Tim Raue at No.85 — while Spain appears through Cocina Hermanos Torres at No.69, Txispa at No.80 and Aponiente, which closes the ranking at No.100.
The Ledbury also makes a notable return at No.83, appearing in the 51–100 list for the first time since 2019. London has another representative in Kol at No.70, while Copenhagen’s Koan reaches No.57, Frantzén in Stockholm sits at No.58 and Hiša Franko in Kobarid is No.60.
Africa’s two places both belong to Cape Town. Fyn climbs to No.65 and Salsify at the Roundhouse reaches No.71, with both restaurants moving up 17 positions. South America brings Nelita’s debut at No.54 alongside Evvai at No.68 and Mil in Cusco at No.95.
Mexico accounts for five of North America’s six positions. Alcalde leads at No.55, followed by Huniik at No.79, Arca at No.87, Rosetta at No.96 and the returning Fauna at No.99. SingleThread in Healdsburg is the only US restaurant in this part of the ranking, appearing at No.93.
The extended list is compiled from the votes of more than 1,100 members of The 50 Best Restaurants Academy, divided across 28 regions around the world, with at least a quarter of the voting body renewed each year. The process is independently adjudicated by Deloitte.
