On 14 September, the Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris will host the 2026 edition of 50 Best Talks: Unpacked, held as part of The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026 programme. Designed as a space for reflection ahead of the awards ceremony, the event will bring together figures from hospitality, research, design, gastronomy, finance and cinema to examine the forces reshaping the way hotels are imagined, experienced and managed.
The programme will move from the influence of neuroscience on emotional travel to the investments currently directing the hospitality industry. Jenny Southan, founder of Globetrender, and neurosurgeon Dr Atom Sarkar will explore the mechanisms behind guest experience, while Omer Acar and Marc Socker will discuss the strategic decisions shaping luxury hospitality. Eleanor White of Tourism Economics will bring a data-led perspective to these transformations.

Gastronomy will occupy a central place in a multidisciplinary conversation featuring chef Hélène Darroze, designer Julien Sebban and Andrea Gardiner of The American Bar at Gleneagles, exploring the moment when dining becomes a destination in itself. Academy Award-nominated production designer Anne Seibel will close the circle by examining how cinema constructs the image, mythology and desirability of hotels one day before the world’s leading properties gather in Paris for The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026 awards.
